ISO of SAA, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so your donations are tax deductible. We will mail you a receipt that you can show the IRS. (And it won't have the word "sex" on it anywhere, so you can also show it to your accountant.)
Our Seventh Tradition holds that SAA ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions. With this in mind, please do not send a contribution unless you are a member.
Some donations made to the ISO are designated for a specific purpose. This means these donations cannot be spent for any purpose other than the one that was stated by the donor. The ISO will not accept such donations unless their purpose has been approved by the Board of Trustees for designated funding. Presently, the Board has authorized five designated funds. They are for:
- The Meditation Book
- LGBT Outreach
- Prisoner Outreach
- The Outer Circle
- Board/Literature Committee Travel
When making donations to these funds, the member or group must state which of these funds is being supported. If the gift is for Board/Literature Committee travel, the donor must also specify which region is being supported and if the gift is for the Board representative, the Literature Committee representative, or both. Donations for Board/Literature Committee travel will be assigned to your local representatives according to your address.
